Member News: Update from Harvest House
Little Red School House Update  We served right at 300 children with complete backpacks, including headphones, a computer mouse, thumb drives, a water bottle, and all the essentials. (Surprisingly those things are on every supply list!) We had generous donations from many individuals and organizations; like Bombas socks! Every kiddo got 5 pairs of the best socks on earth! Golden State Foods donated 200 backpacks, and other organizations added their support. It was a successful event, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of our community, partners, and volunteers. Also a big thank you to Texas Health Huguley for providing volunteer and financial support! Because our community was so generous with supplies, we have been able to bless at least 20 teachers with extra supplies to support their classrooms! Several of the families contacted us to let us know that they had received every single thing their kids needed to start the school year. That brought the biggest blessing to our hearts! Making a difference in the lives of these families is everything. |

We need a new Box Truck! We have generous $20,000 matching grant from The Baker Foundation of Burleson to help us purchase a new-to-us Box Truck. We use this truck to pick up the food for our pantry as well as deliver food to our partner communities, like the Thomas Square Apartments. We are utilizing our North Texas Giving Day platform to raise funds for this big need. Please consider giving towards this cause! Click here to give towards this project! |
