Reflect. Gather. Honor. This must be the place. Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park is the perfect scenic setting where families and friends can celebrate life. In 1907, we set out to design a resting place unlike any other.
Today, trees and pathways form a park-like setting. Peace of mind comes naturally. And we serve as a caring partner to you, your family, and our community. Take a virtual tour, join us for community events and learn the legacy of this land.
At Laurel Land Funeral Home, we offer many types of unique and personalized options to commemorate the lives of loved ones and to help ensure that legacies will endure for generations to come. Our funeral home is conveniently located on the grounds of Laurel Land Memorial Park – Ft. Worth, allowing families the convenience of making funeral and cemetery arrangements from one location.
Laurel Land Memorial Park – Ft. Worth was originally opened as Park Lawn Cemetery with just 25 acres in the early 1920s. The Widner/Roberts family purchased the cemetery in 1942 and created the Widner private family mausoleum, which is still owned by the Widner family. The park was purchased by Stewart Enterprises Inc. in 1986, and is today owned by an affiliate of Service Corporation International. Of the cemetery’s nearly 150 acres today, 49 have not yet been developed, allowing for the cemetery to serve families of the Ft. Worth area well into the future. Laurel Land is a perpetual care cemetery.
The well-maintained cemetery grounds offer visitors a serene haven for reflection and remembrance. Laurel Land Memorial Park – Ft. Worth offers many choices for memorialization, including traditional ground burial, indoor or outdoor mausoleum entombment and private family estates.
The cemetery features picturesque lawns and gardens including two veterans areas and the Garden of Reflections. The Chapel of the Chimes, a chapel commemorating the freedom of the press, is also on the grounds of the cemetery and is a replica of St. Paul’s Church in Mount Vernon, New York. It originally was a crematorium and chapel, and was refurbished in 1992 for use solely as a chapel.
Your family’s comfort matters a great deal to us. Generations of families have depended on us at Laurel Land Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Ft. Worth to provide the finest in personalized service and care.
