The Power of Heels will feature a local businesswoman and a runway fashion show at its upcoming meeting in July. The Power of Heels is the women’s division of the Burleson Chamber.
Keynote Speaker Julie Roberts is the owner of The Cottage Market, an elegant and upscale retail store located in Old Town Burleson. Julie will talk about the challenges and joys of working as an independent retailer in today’s competitive marketplace. Her presentation will be followed by a runway fashion show featuring apparel from local Burleson Chamber boutiques, Adams Tack and Pink Chandelier; an event certain to be enjoyed by the women in attendance.
After a long career as a business executive, Julie opened The Cottage Market in 2014. The 3,000 SF store features classic accent furniture, home décor, kitchen items, gifts for wedding registries, gourmet foods, jewelry and more. Julie travels to New York, Las Vegas and Dallas to shop for the store. The Cottage Market also provides monogramming and printing for brides, floral arrangements and decorative and functional art.
“Offering fresh unique products in a boutique atmosphere, The Cottage market has contributed to the upward swing in Burleson’s development,” wrote the Burleson NOW magazine in a recent article.
As a special treat, Chamber members are invited to bring their daughters to this fun and informative luncheon and style show. Cost for the luncheon is $20 for Chamber members, $25 for non-members, and $10 for anyone under the age of 18. Click Here to Purchase Your Ticket Online!
