Sharen Wilson, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney, will speak at the first 2015 meeting of the Power of Heels on Friday, January 30, 2015. The Power of Heels is the women’s division of the Burleson Area Chamber of Commerce. Sharen Wilson took her oath of office on January 1, 2015, and is the first female District Attorney to lead Tarrant County’s largest law firm. This will be one of Wilson’s first public speaking events in her role as DA.
Sharen Wilson served as the Judge of Criminal District Court No.1 in Tarrant County for 23 years until September 2013, when she retired to run for Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney. As Judge, Sharen spearheaded the award-winning docket management system for the criminal district courts that resulted in expedited trials. She also led in the effort to update the jury summons process to an electronic assignment process, saving taxpayers $50,000 last year alone.
Before serving as a Tarrant Judge, Sharen was an assistant district attorney and private practice attorney. She is a board certified specialist in Criminal Law and currently chairs the Criminal Law Specialization exam committee for the State of Texas. She is an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University.

The January 30th Power of Heels meeting will be held at NorthPointe Church, located at 2450 SW Wilshire Blvd. in Burleson, Doors open at 11:30 AM and the meeting concludes at 1:00.
