Chamber members and community leaders will begin the New Year hearing about Burleson’s recent accomplishments and continued plans for future success when Mayor Ken Shetter presents his Annual “STATE OF THE CITY” Address at the Chamber’s Winter Quarterly Meeting on January 15, 2015.
Burleson continues to be a prime relocation target for new businesses and residents alike. From job creation to an increased tax base, members will hear about the beneficial impact of growth in our city, highlighting recent achievements.
Mayor Shetter will share how city leadership strives to maintain the Burleson lifestyle that appeals to current residents and the newcomers to our community. He will share the vision that Burleson city leaders have for 2015 and beyond to continue building the best city for our families.

Ken Shetter was elected mayor in June 2004 during his second term on Burleson’s City Council. Born and raised in Burleson, Mayor Shetter holds an undergraduate and law degree from Baylor University and a Master degree from the American University in Washington D.C. In addition to serving as mayor of Burleson, Shetter is the Executive Director of Safe City Commission, Inc., a non-profit corporation which develops and supports effective crime prevention and crime reduction programs and provides a framework for collaboration among Tarrant’s County’s public safety and crime prevention network.

The meeting will begin at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Victory Family Church, 455 NW John Jones Drive in Burleson. The cost is $20.00 for Chamber members and $25.00 for non-members.
